I made these last year for my LGS since we have junk terrain for Warmachine.

Mmmmmmm, muddy

Halfway through the build I ended up with some left over wedge pieces that I realized could solve the play problem that slopes often have:

Trenches are based on hardboard, foam wedges, coffee stir sticks, Elmers wood filler for texture/durability.

Looks awesome!
Trenches are somewhere on my 'to do' list - i'll be borrowing some ideas from here! Big Grin
Your mud looks brilliant. The scene to me is really made by the broken bits of wood (although since it's trenches I feel like you could also embed into it some cigarette butts, the occasional lost playing card, and puddles of misery tears. :3)

Do you feel like sharing how you got that still-wet look for your mud?
